We were treated to ‘resort camping’ with the assignment of the Headwaters site at H.E.B. Foundation Camp this year on Mother’s Day weekend. We were grateful for Bryan Biediger volunteering to serve as our lifeguard so we could slide into the beautiful river.
On August 20th 2022 two Girl Scout Juniors presented the first ever St Rose of Lima Award for their Bronze Award. An older Girl Scout named Aliana in the past had also hosted an event similar to this one for her Bronze Award. The two Girl Scouts were so inspired they held this workshop and followed in the footsteps of Aliana’s workshop for their Bronze Award as well. They had also chosen the date closest to St Rose of Lima’s feast day to have this workshop.
What a beautiful setting for older girls to encounter the Holy Spirit and earn this new award first designed by Girl Scout Cadette Tesa in 2016.
Who: All Girl Scouts
(Ages 5 through 3rd grade must be accompanied by an adult;
Girl Scouts Juniors & older can attend without an adult present.)
All adults are welcome to earn the Award too.
What: St. Anthony de Padua Award

For their Silver Award Project, Girl Scout Troop 246 has revised
the requirements for the St. Anthony de Padua Award
for the GSSWT Catholic Committee.
