St. Mary Mazzarello - Co-Foundress of Salesian Sisters

$3.00

Discover how Sister Mary Mazzarello, at age 30, was part of God’s plan in 1867 when Father Don Bosco formulated the first rule of a new religious order for women.  Those who accepted the rule would be called the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (later to be known as Salesian Sisters). Sister Mary Mazzarello was elected Mother Superior to lead the new order at the age of 35. She had many qualities and virtues similar to those of Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of Girl Scouts. Some of these virtues are kindness, loving, hard-working, dependable, humility and willingness to help others. Sister Mary Mazzarello was canonized a saint on June 24, 1951.
